Al-A'raf · 7:172
وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَنِي آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ ۛ شَهِدْنَا ۛ أَنْ تَقُولُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَٰذَا غَافِلِينَ
Na kumbuka, ewe Mtume, pindi Mola wako Alipowatoa wana wa Ādam kutoka kwenye migongo ya baba zao, Akawathibitishia upweke Wake kwa kuwatia tabia ya kimaumbile kwamba Yeye ni Mola wao, ni Muumba wao na ni Mmiliki wao; wakamkubalia hilo kwa kuchelea wasije kukanusha Siku ya Kiyama wasikubali chochote katika hilo na wasije wakadai kwamba hoja ya Mwenyezi Mungu haijasimama kwao na wala hawajui chochote juu yake, bali wao walikuwa wameghafilika na hilo.

172. Mention, O Muhammad, when your Lord took from the loins of the children of Adam their descendants and had them acknowledge, bearing witness to His lordship, making it part of their innate nature to acknowledge that He created them and that He is their Lord. He said to them, ‘Am I not your Lord?’ and they replied, ‘Yes, we bear witness’. Allah said: 'I asked you this question so that you would not deny the proofs of Allah on the Day of Judgement, saying that you did not have any knowledge of it.
