Al-A'raf · 7:171
۞ وَإِذْ نَتَقْنَا الْجَبَلَ فَوْقَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُ ظُلَّةٌ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ خُذُوا مَا آتَيْنَاكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُوا مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
Na kumbuka, ewe Mtume, pindi tulipoliinua jabali juu ya Wana wa Isrāīl likawa kama kwamba ni kiwingu kinachowafinika, wakawa na yakini kuwa kitawaangukia iwapo hawatazikubali hukumu zilizomo kwenye Taurati, na tukawaambia,»Chukueni tulichowapa kwa nguvu.» Yaani, fuateni kivitendo tulichowapa kwa bidii yenu, na yakumbukeni yaliyomo kwenye Kitabu chetu ya ahadi na masharti tuliyoyachukuwa kwenu kwamba mtayatekeleza yaliyomo ndani yake, ili mumche Mola wenu mpate kuokoka na mateso Yake.

171. Mention, O Muhammad, when Allah raised the mountain above the Israelites when they refused to accept what was in the Torah. Then the mountain became like a cloud, casting a shadow over them, and they were sure it would fall upon them. They were told to firmly and seriously hold onto what Allah had revealed to them, and to remember the rulings that He had made law for them, and not to forget this, so that they might be Mindful.
