سورة يس · 36:45
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّقُوا مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
(45) But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you;[1271] perhaps you will receive mercy..."[1272]

وإذا قيل لهؤلاء المشركين المعرضين عن الإيمان: احذروا ما تُقدِمون عليه من أمر الآخرة وشدائدها، واحذروا الدنيا المُدْبِرَة رجاء أن يمن الله عليكم برحمته؛ لم يمتثلوا لذلك، بل أعرضوا عنه غير مبالين به.
