قَالَ رَبِّ السِّجْنُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِمَّا يَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ ۖ وَإِلَّا تَصْرِفْ عَنِّي كَيْدَهُنَّ أَصْبُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَأَكُنْ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ
૩૩) યૂસુફ અ.સ. એ દુઆ કરી કે હે મારા પાલનહાર ! જે વાત તરફ આ સ્ત્રીઓ મને બોલાવી રહી છે તેના કરતા મને જેલ ખૂબ જ પસંદ છે, જો તેં આ લોકોની યુક્તિને મારાથી દૂર ન કરી તો હું આ લોકો તરફ આકર્ષિત થઇ જઇશ અને ખૂબ જ અણસમજુ લોકો માંથી થઇ જઇશ.
તફસીર

33. Joseph (peace be upon him) prayed to his Lord saying: O my Lord, prison, which they threaten me with, is preferable to me than the shameful act they call me towards. If You do not remove their scheme from me, I may incline to them and I will become one of the ignorant ones – if I give in to them and do what they want me to do.
