Al-An'am · 6:25
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَنْ يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا ۚ وَإِنْ يَرَوْا كُلَّ آيَةٍ لَا يُؤْمِنُوا بِهَا ۚ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءُوكَ يُجَادِلُونَكَ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Ẹni tí ń gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ ní ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ ń bẹ nínú wọn. A sì fi èbìbò bo ọkàn wọn kí wọ́n má baà gbọ́ àgbọ́yé rẹ̀. (A tún fi) èdídí sínú etí wọn. Tí wọ́n bá rí gbogbo àmì, wọn kò níí gbà á gbọ́ débi pé nígbà tí wọ́n bá wá bá ọ, wọn yó sì máa bá ọ jiyàn; àwọn t’ó ṣàì gbàgbọ́ sì máa wí pé: “Kí ni èyí bí kò ṣe àkọsílẹ̀ àlọ́ àwọn ẹni àkọ́kọ́.”
Tafsír
Kò sí tafsír ní èdè rẹ. Èyí ni Al-Mukhtasar ní èdè Gẹ̀ẹ́sì.
25. Some of the idolaters listen to you, O Messenger, when you recite the Qur’ān, but they do not benefit from what they hear because I have placed covers on their hearts so that they cannot understand the Qur’ān. I did this due to their stubbornness and their turning away. I have made their ears deaf to beneficial listening. Despite the clear indications and glaring evidences that they see, they still do not believe, such that when they come to you they present false arguments against the truth and say: What you have brought has simply been taken from the books of the earlier people.
