مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ اللَّهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا عِبَادًا لِي مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنْ كُونُوا رَبَّانِيِّينَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ الْكِتَابَ وَبِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ

Kò lẹ́tọ̀ọ́ fún abara kan nígbà tí Allāhu bá fún un ní tírà, ìjìnlẹ̀ òye àti ipò Ànábì, lẹ́yìn náà kí ó máa sọ fún àwọn ènìyàn pé, "ẹ jẹ́ ẹrúsìn fún mi lẹ́yìn Allāhu." Ṣùgbọ́n (ó máa sọ pé) "ẹ jẹ́ olùjọ́sìn fún Olúwa (kí ẹ sì máa fi ẹ̀kọ́ Rẹ̀ kọ́ àwọn ènìyàn) nítorí pé ẹ jẹ́ ẹni tí ń kọ́ àwọn ènìyàn ní tírà àti nítorí pé ẹ jẹ́ ẹni tí ń kọ́ ẹ̀kọ́ (nípa ẹ̀sìn)."

Tafsír

Kò sí tafsír ní èdè rẹ. Èyí ni Al-Mukhtasar ní èdè Gẹ̀ẹ́sì.

79. It is not right for a man whom Allah gives a book revealed by Him, together with knowledge and understanding and selects him as a prophet, to say then to people, ‘Become servants of me instead of Allah’. Rather, he should say to them: Be righteous scholars-acting on what you know, because of your teaching the revealed book to people and because of your studying it by memorising and understanding it.
