فَنَادَتْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمِحْرَابِ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَىٰ مُصَدِّقًا بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَسَيِّدًا وَحَصُورًا وَنَبِيًّا مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Nítorí náà, àwọn mọlāika pè é nígbà tí ó ń kírun lọ́wọ́ nínú ilé ìjọ́sìn, (wọ́n sọ pé): "Dájúdájú Allāhu ń fún ọ ní ìró ìdùnnú nípa (bíbí) Yahyā. Ó máa fi òdodo rinlẹ̀ nípa ọ̀rọ̀ kan láti ọ̀dọ̀ Allāhu. (Ó máa jẹ́) aṣíwájú, tí kò sì níí súnmọ́ obìnrin. (Ó máa jẹ́) Ànábì. Ó sì wà nínú àwọn ẹni rere."

"Ọ̀rọ̀ kan” láti ọ̀dọ̀ Allāhu" ni “Jẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀” tí Allāhu (subhānahu wa ta'ālā) fi ṣẹ̀dá ‘Īsā ọmọ Mọryam ('alaehi-ssọlātu wa-ssalām) gẹ́gẹ́ bí Allāhu (subhānahu wa ta'ālā) ṣe fi rinlẹ̀ nínú sūrah yìí kan náà, āyah 59. Ẹ tún wo sūrah an-Nisā’; 4:171.

Kò sí tafsír ní èdè rẹ. Èyí ni Al-Mukhtasar ní èdè Gẹ̀ẹ́sì.
39. The angels called out to him while he was standing in prayer in his place of worship, saying: Allah gives you good news of a child to be born to you whose name will be John. He will confirm a word from Allah – which refers to Jesus, son of Mary, because he was specially created by a word from Allah. This child will be a leader of his people with his knowledge and worship. He will be innocent, keeping himself away from desires, including approaching women. He will dedicate himself to worshipping His Lord and will also be a prophet from those who are righteous.
