فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ ۖ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ ۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
Ìkẹ́ kan láti ọ̀dọ̀ Allāhu l’ó kúkú rọ̀ ọ́ fún wọn; tí ó bá jẹ́ pé o jẹ́ ẹni burúkú, ọlọ́kàn líle, wọn ìbá ti túká kúrò lọ́dọ̀ rẹ. Ṣàmójú kúrò fún wọn, bá wọn tọrọ àforíjìn, kí o sì bá wọn jíròrò lórí ọ̀rọ̀. Tí o bá sì pinnu (ọ̀rọ̀ kan), kí o gbáralé Allāhu. Dájúdájú Allāhu nífẹ̀ẹ́ àwọn olùgbáralé E.
Tafsír
Kò sí tafsír ní èdè rẹ. Èyí ni Al-Mukhtasar ní èdè Gẹ̀ẹ́sì.
159. Due to Allah’s great mercy, your character, O Prophet, was made to be gentle with your Companions. If you were harsh in your words and actions and hard-hearted, they would have left you. So, pardon them their shortcomings with you and ask Allah to forgive them for what is between them and Allah; and ask their opinion in whatever needs to be agreed upon. Then if you decide on something after agreeing together, then go ahead with it, and trust in Allah. Allah loves those who trust in Him, giving them success and support.
