Al-An'am · 6:141
۞ وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَ جَنَّاتٍ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ وَالنَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ ۚ كُلُوا مِنْ ثَمَرِهِ إِذَا أَثْمَرَ وَآتُوا حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ ۖ وَلَا تُسْرِفُوا ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Na Mwenyezi Mungu, kutkata na sifa za upungufu ni Kwake na kutukuka ni Kwake, Ndiye Aliyewaanzishia mashamba: miongoni mwa mimea yake kuna ile iliyoinuliwa juu ya ardhi na kuegemezewa vitu vyingine, kama mizabibu, na miongoni mwayo kuna isiyoinuliwa, bali inasimama yenyewe kwenye vigogo vyake, kama mitende na miti mingine ya mazao. Mimea yote hiyo ikiwa ina tamu tafauti. Mizabibu na mikomamanga, maumbile yake yanafanana na matunda yake yanatafautiana tamu yake. Kuleni, enyi watu, matunda yake na mtoe Zaka zake zilizolazimishwa kwenu siku mnapoyavuna na kuyatungua, na msiikiuke mipaka ya usawa katika kutoa mali na kula chakula na mengineyo. Hakika Yeye, Mwenyezi Mungu, Hawapendi wenye kukiuka mipaka Yake kwa kutumia mali katika njia zisokuwa zake.

141. Allah, may He be glorified, is the One Who created gardens raised above the ground by means of stems and trellises, and spread out gardens on the surface of the earth without any stems, He is the One Who created the date palm. He produced crops which differ in their shape and taste. He is the One Who created the olive and the pomegranate, the leaves of which are similar but their fruit is different. Eat, O people, from its fruit when it bears fruit and pay its Zakat on the day of its harvest. Do not overstep the limits of the sacred law with respect to eating and spending, because Allah does not love those who overstep His limits in this and other respects. Rather, He hates such people. The One Who created all of this is the One Who has made it lawful for His servants. Therefore, the idolaters have no right to declare it unlawful.
