Al-An'am · 6:122
أَوَمَنْ كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَاهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُ نُورًا يَمْشِي بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ كَمَنْ مَثَلُهُ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِنْهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Je, yule ambaye amekufa katika upotofu, ameangamia na ameshangaa, tukaufufua moyo wake kwa Imani, tukamuongoza kwenye Imani na tukamuafikia kuwafuata Mitume Wake, akawa anaishi kwenye miangaza ya uongofu, atakuwa ni kama mfano wa yule aliye ndani ya ujinga, matamanio ya moyo na namna mbalimbali za upotevu, asiyeongokewa kwenye sehemu yoyote ya kupenya na hana wa kumuokoa na yale ambayo yumo ndani yake? Hao wawili hawalingani. Na kama nilivyomuachilia kafiri huyu anayebishana na nyinyi, enyi Waumini, nikampambia vitendo vyake viovu akaviona ni vyema, vilevile nimewapambia wenye kukanusha vitendo vyao viovu ili wapaswe, kwa hilo, kupata adhabu.

122. Is the one who was dead prior to receiving Allah’s guidance – due to his disbelief, ignorance and sins, and then He gave him life by guiding him to faith, knowledge and obedience – equal to the one who cannot leave the darkness of disbelief, ignorance and sins, and to whom the paths have become unclear and dark? Just as polytheism, the consumption of carrion, and false arguments were made fair seeming to these idolaters, the sins of the disbelievers were made to seem good to them, so that they are repaid for them on the Day of Rising with a painful punishment.
