وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا أَعْجَمِيًّا لَقَالُوا لَوْلَا فُصِّلَتْ آيَاتُهُ ۖ أَأَعْجَمِيٌّ وَعَرَبِيٌّ ۗ قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هُدًى وَشِفَاءٌ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرٌ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَمًى ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ يُنَادَوْنَ مِنْ مَكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ
Na lau tungaliifanya hii Qur’ani tuliyokuteremshia, ewe Mtume, ni kwa lugha isiyokuwa ya Kiarabu, washirikina wangalisema, «Je, si zifafanuliwe aya zake tupate kuzifahamu na kuzijua? Ni vipi hii Qur’ani ni kwa lugha isiyokuwa ya Kiarabu na hali lugha ya huyu aliyeteremshiwa ni ya Kiarabu? Hili haliwi!» Waambie, ewe Mtume, «Hii Qur’ani, kwa wale waliomuamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume Wake, ni uongofu kutoka kwenye upotevu na ni ponyesho la yaliyomo vifuani ya shaka na magonjwa. Na wale wasioiamini Qur’ani kuna uziwi ndani ya mashikio yao unaowafanya wasiisikie na wasiizingatie; nayo (hiyo Qur’ani) ni upofu kwao wa nyoyo zao, hawaongoki kwayo.» Basi washirikina hao ni kama yule anayeitwa naye yuko mahali mbali, hamsikii mwenye kulingania wala hamuitiki mwenye kuita.

44. Had I revealed this Qur’ān in a language other than that of the Arabs, the disbelievers among them would have said, “Why are its verses not made clear to us so that we can understand them?” Can the Qur’ān be in any language other than Arabic, while the one who brings it is an Arab? O Messenger! Say to these people: For those people who bring faith in Allah and believe in His messengers, the Qur’ān is a guidance from deviance and a cure for the ignorance and its consequences in the hearts. As for those who do not have faith in Allah, their ears are deaf and they are blinded from it so they do not understand it. These people are called from a distant place, so how could they hear the voice of the caller?
