وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يَقْتُلَ مُؤْمِنًا إِلَّا خَطَأً ۚ وَمَنْ قَتَلَ مُؤْمِنًا خَطَأً فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ وَدِيَةٌ مُسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَصَّدَّقُوا ۚ فَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ عَدُوٍّ لَكُمْ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ ۖ وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمٍ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ مِيثَاقٌ فَدِيَةٌ مُسَلَّمَةٌ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ وَتَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ مُؤْمِنَةٍ ۖ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا
Si haki kwa yoyote aliyeamini kumfanyia uadui ndugu yake aliyeamini kwa kumuua bila haki isipokuwa afanye hilo kimakosa kwa kutokusudia. Na yoyote ambaye kosa hilo lilitokea kwake, basi ni juu yake aache huru shingo iliyoamini na atoe dia iliyokadiriwa kiwango chake kuwapa mawalii wa aliyeuawa, isipokuwa iwapo watamuachia kwa njia ya sadaka na watamsamehe. Iwapo muuliwa anamuamini Mwenyezi Mungu Aliyetukuka na anaiamini haki aliyoteremshiwa Mtume Wake Muhammad , rehema ya Mwenyezi Mungu na amani zimshukie, na akawa ni katika ukoo wa watu makafiri ambao ni maadui wa Waislamu, basi ni juu ya muuaji aache huru shingo iliyoamini. Na iwapo muuliwa ni miongoni mwa watu ambao baina yenu na wao kuna ahadi na mapatano, basi ni juu ya yule aliyemuua, ili Mwenyezi Mungu Aliyetukuka Amkubalie toba yake, aache huru shingo iliyoamini; asipopata uwezo wa kuacha huru shingo iliyoamini, ni juu yake afunge miezi miwili yenye kufuatana. Mwenyezi Mungu Aliyetukuka, ni Mjuzi wa hakika ya mambo ya waja Wake, ni Mwenye hekima katika sheria Zake Alizowawekea.

92. It is unlawful for a believer to kill another believer, unless it occurs by mistake. If anyone kills a believer by mistake, he must free a believing slave as a compensation for his action. The relatives of the killer, who inherit from him, will be responsible for the blood money to be handed over to the successors of the victim, unless the successors give up the right If the victim belonged to a people at war with you, but he was a believer, then the killer must free a believing slave and no blood money will be owed. If the victim was not a believer but belonged to a people with whom you have a treaty, such as disbelievers living in an Islamic state, the relatives of the killer, who inherit from him, will be responsible for blood money to be handed over to the successors of the victim and the killer must free a believing slave as compensation for his action. If he cannot find anyone to free or he cannot afford the price, then he must fast continuously for two consecutive months so that Allah accepts his repentance for what he has done. Allah knows the actions of His servants and their intentions; and He is Wise in His legislation and planning.
