An-Nisa · 4:83
وَإِذَا جَاءَهُمْ أَمْرٌ مِنَ الْأَمْنِ أَوِ الْخَوْفِ أَذَاعُوا بِهِ ۖ وَلَوْ رَدُّوهُ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ وَإِلَىٰ أُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْهُمْ لَعَلِمَهُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَنْبِطُونَهُ مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ لَاتَّبَعْتُمُ الشَّيْطَانَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
Na likiwajia, hawa ambao Imani haijakita ndani ya nyoyo zao, jambo ambalo inapasa lifichwe linalofungamana na usalama, ambao heri yake itarudi kwa Uislamu na Waislamu, au hofu, ambayo inatia babaiko ndani ya nyoyo zao, wanalitoa nje na kulitangaza kwa watu. Na lau wao walilipeleka, lile liliowajia, kwa Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu, rehema ya Mwenyezi Mungu na amani zimshukiye na kwa wenye ujuzi na ufahamu, wangaliujua uhakika wake wale wachambuzi kati yao. Na lau si Mwenyezi Mungu kuwafanyia wema na kuwaonea huruma, Mungalimfuata Shetani na mawazo mnayotiwa naye, isipokuwa wachache katika nyinyi.

83. Whenever there comes a public matter comprising safety and happiness for the Muslims, or matters of fear and sadness, the hypocrites rush to spread its news amongst the people. If they had waited and referred the matter to Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) and to those in charge of their affairs, those who are able to reason and draw conclusions would know what is to be done with respect to spreading such news or concealing it. If it were not for Allah’s grace and mercy on you, almost all of you would have followed the whisperings of Satan.
