An-Nisa · 4:78
أَيْنَمَا تَكُونُوا يُدْرِكْكُمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ فِي بُرُوجٍ مُشَيَّدَةٍ ۗ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُوا هَٰذِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَإِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُوا هَٰذِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ ۚ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَالِ هَٰؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ لَا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَدِيثًا
Popote mliopo mtafikiwa na kifo, pawe ni mahali popote pale mnapokuwa, muda wenu ukikoma, hata kama mupo ndani ya ngome zilizoimarishwa zilizoko mbali na kiwanja cha mapambano na mapigano. Na wakipatikana na mambo ya kuwafurahisha ya starehe ya maisha haya (ya ulimwenguni), wanayanasibisha kwa Mwenyezi Mungu Aliyetukuka kuwa Ndiye Aliyewapatia, na watokewapo na matukio wanayoyachukia, wanayanasibisha kwa Mtume Muhammad , rehema ya Mwenyezi Mungu na amani zimshukie, kuwa yamesababishwa na yeye kwa ujinga wao na kwa fikira zao kuwa yeye amewaletea nuhusi. Na hawakujua kwamba yote yanatokana na Mwenyezi Mungu Peke Yake, kwa uamuzi Wake na makadirio Yake. Basi kwa nini wao hawakaribii kuelewa maneno yoyote unayowaelezea?

78. At any time and place, death will surely come to you when reach your prescribed life term, even if you are in guarded palaces far from battle. And when these hypocrites receive something pleasing, such as a child or wealth, they say, ‘This is from Allah’. Yet when they face some difficulty with respect to their children or wealth, they attribute a bad sign and misfortune to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and they say, ‘This evil is because of you’. Say, O Messenger, in response to these people: Everything, good or bad, occurs by Allah’s decree and decision. What is the matter with these people, who say such things, that they can hardly understand anything you tell them?
