Sura 31 · Juzuu 21
Luqman · 31:15
وَإِنْ جَاهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰ أَنْ تُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا ۖ وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِي الدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًا ۖ وَاتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ مَنْ أَنَابَ إِلَيَّ ۚ ثُمَّ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
«Na wakikusukuma kwa bidii wazazi wako wawili, ewe mtoto mwema, ili unishirikishe mimi na mwingine katika kuniabudu katika kitu ambacho huna ujuzi nacho, au wakakuamuru ufanye jambo miongoni mwa mambo ya kumuasi Mwenyezi Mungu basi usiwatii, kwani hakuna kutiiwa kiumbe kwa kuasiwa Muumba. Na suhubiana nao ulimwenguni kwa wema katika mambo mema yasiyo na madhambi. Na ufuate, ewe mwana mwenye Imani, njia ya aliyetubu kutokana na dhambi zake, akarudi kwangu na akamuamini Mtume wangu Muhammad, rehema ya Mwenyezi Mungu na amani zimshukie. Kisha ni kwangu mimi marejeo yenu, niwape habari ya yale mliokuwa mkiyafanya duniani na nimlipe kila mtenda kwa matendo yake.

15. And even if your parents strive to incite you upon ascribing partners to Allah according to their ignorant/arbitrary understanding - like what the mother of Sa‘d bin Abī Waqqāṣ did to him - then do not obey them in that, because there is no obedience to the creation in the disobedience to the Creator. Rather, live with them in the world with goodness, maintaining ties and friendship. And follow the path of those who proclaim My oneness repeatedly and obey Me; to Me alone is your return on the Day of Judgment so that I may tell you of the actions you used to do in the world and requite you for them.
