لَا يَتَّخِذِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۖ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ اللَّهِ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا أَنْ تَتَّقُوا مِنْهُمْ تُقَاةً ۗ وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَهُ ۗ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَصِيرُ
Mwenyezi Mungu Anawakataza Waumini kuwafanya makafiri kuwa ni wategemewa, kwa mapenzi na kwa kutaka himaya, badala ya Waumini. Na yoyote mwenye kuwafanya wao ni wategemewa, huyo ameshakuwa mbali na Mwenyezi Mungu, na Mwenyezi Mungu Yuko mbali na yeye. Isipokuwa mkiwa ni madhaifu wenye kuogopa, hapo Mwenyezi Mungu Amewapa ruhusa muwasairi ili kujiepusha na shari lao, mpaka mtakapopata nguvu. Na Mwenyezi Mungu Anawatahadharisha nyinyi na Yeye. basi mcheni na muogopeni. Na Kwake Peke Yake ndio marejeo ya viumbe kwa kuhesabiwa na kulipwa.

28. O believers, do not take disbelievers as friends that you love and support instead of other believers: whoever does this will never be helped by Allah in any way. However, if you are under their authority and you fear for your lives, then there is no harm if you avoid their harm by being nice to them in your speech and actions on the outside, whilst hating them inside. Allah warns you of Himself, so fear Him and do not become the subject of His anger by committing sins. All men will return to Allah alone on the Day of Resurrection for Him to reward them for their actions.
