ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلَّا أَيَّامًا مَعْدُودَاتٍ ۖ وَغَرَّهُمْ فِي دِينِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ
kujiepusha huko na haki, sababu yake ni itikadi mbaya walionayo Watu wa Kitabu kwamba wao hawataadhibiwa isipokuwa siku chache. Itikadi hii iliwapelekea wao wamfanyiye ujasiri Mwenyezi Mungu na waidharau Dini Yake na waendelee na dini yao ya batili ambayo walijidanganya nayo nafsi zao.

24. They turned away from the truth and ignored it because they used to think that the fire of Hell will only touch them for a few days and they will then enter Paradise. This belief deceived them and made them bold against Allah and His religion.
