Ali 'Imran · 3:179
مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَذَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَىٰ مَا أَنْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّىٰ يَمِيزَ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ ۗ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِنْ رُسُلِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ ۚ وَإِنْ تُؤْمِنُوا وَتَتَّقُوا فَلَكُمْ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
Hakuwa Mwenyezi Mungu ni Mwenye kuwaacha , enyi wenye kumuamini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume Wake na wenye kuzifuata Sheria Yake kivitendo, juu ya hivyo mlivyo ya kuchanganyikana mwenye Imani na mnafiki, mpaka Ampambanue muovu na mwema, ili ajulikune mnafiki na Muumini mkweli. Na haikuwa ni katika hekima ya Mwenyezi Mungu, enyi Waumini, kwamba Atawafunulia ghaibu Anayoijua kuhusu waja Wake, mkamjua Muumini kati yao na mnafiki. Lakini Yeye Anawapambanua kwa misukosuko na mitihani. Isipokuwa Mwenyezi Mungu, Aliyetukuka, Anamteua Amtakaye katika wajumbe Wake ili kumuonesha ujuzi wa ghaibu kwa wahyi utokao Kwake. Basi muaminini Mwenyezi Mungu na Mtume Wake. Na iwapo mtaamini, imani ya kweli, na mkamuogopa Mola wenu kwa kumtii, mtapata malipo makubwa mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu.

179. Allah would not leave you, O believers, as you are, mixed with the hypocrites with no separation between you, without making it clear those who truly have faith. So He separates you through different obligations and trials, to make clear those who have faith and those who are hypocrites, and to separate the good from the bad. He would not give you knowledge of the Ghaib so that you could distinguish between a believer and a hypocrite; but Allah chooses whomever He wills of His messengers and gives them some knowledge of the Ghaib, as He gave His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) knowledge of the state of the hypocrites. So have faith in Allah and His Messenger; and if you truly have faith and are mindful of Allah, then follow His instructions and stay away from what He has prohibited – so that you gain a great reward from Allah.
