By mercy from Allah · Ali 'Imran 3:159
فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ ۖ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ ۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ
Na kwa ajili ya rehema za Mwenyezi Mungu kwako na maswhaba wako, ewe Nabii, Mwenyezi Mungu Alikuneemesha ukawa laini kwao. Na lau ungalikuwa na tabia mbaya, mwenye moyo mgumu, maswahaba wako wangalijitenga na kuwa mbali na wewe. Kwa hivyo, usiwe na hasira nao kwa yaliyotokea kwao katika vita vya Uhud. Basi muombe Mwenyezi Mungu, ewe Nabii, Awasamehe na uwashauri katika mambo yanayohitajia ushauri. Na utakapoazimia kufanya jambo kati ya mambo yoyote, baada ya kushauri, litekeleze hali ya kumtegemea Mwenyezi Mungu, Peke Yake. Hakika Mwenyezi Mungu Anawapenda wenye kujitegemeza Kwake.

159. Due to Allah’s great mercy, your character, O Prophet, was made to be gentle with your Companions. If you were harsh in your words and actions and hard-hearted, they would have left you. So, pardon them their shortcomings with you and ask Allah to forgive them for what is between them and Allah; and ask their opinion in whatever needs to be agreed upon. Then if you decide on something after agreeing together, then go ahead with it, and trust in Allah. Allah loves those who trust in Him, giving them success and support.
