Sura 29 · Juzuu 20
Al-'Ankabut · 29:14
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمْسِينَ عَامًا فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوفَانُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ
Na hakika tulimtumiliza Nūḥ kwa watu wake, akakaa kwao miaka elfu moja kasoro miaka hamsini, akiwaita kwenye upwekeshaji wa Mwenyezi Mungu na akiwakataza ushirikina, na wao wasimuitikie. Mwenyezi Mungu Akawaangamiza kwa mafuriko, na wao wako katika hali ya kujidhulumu wenyewe kwa ukafiri wao na kupita kiasi kwao katika uasi.

14. And I sent Noah as a Messenger to his people, then he stayed amongst them for a period of nine hundred and fifty years, calling them to the Oneness of Allah. But they denied him and remained on their disbelief, so the flood seized them whilst they were wrongdoers due to their disbelief in Allah and their denial of the Messengers, thus they were destroyed through drowning.
