Sura 22 · Juzuu 17
Al-Hajj · 22:36
وَالْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنَاهَا لَكُمْ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ ۖ فَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَافَّ ۖ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْقَانِعَ وَالْمُعْتَرَّ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرْنَاهَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Na tumewafanyia nyinyi kule kuchinja ngamia ni miongoni mwa alama za Dini na mambo yake makubwa. Ili mpate kujisongeza karibu na Mwenyezi Mungu kwayo. Katika hao nyinyi, enyi wenye kujisongeza karibu naye, muna kheri katika manufaa yake ya kula, kutoa sadaka na kupata malipo ya thawabu. Basi semeni mnapowachinja, «Bismillāh» (kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu). Na ngamia huchinjwa akiwa amesimama, miguu yake mitatu imepangwa na mmoja umefungwa, basi akianguka kwa mbavu zake, huwa amekuwa halali kumla. Wale waliomchinja kwa ajili ya ibada na wale kitu katika mnyama huyo na wamlishe kutokana naye aliyekinai, naye ni muhitaji asiyeomba kwa kujihifadhi, na muhitaji anayeomba kumaliza haja yake. Hivi ndivyo Alivyowadhalilishia Mwenyezi Mungu ngamia, huenda mukamshukuru Mwenyezi Mungu kwa kuwadhalilishia.

36. And I have made the camels which are taken to the House amongst the sacred signs and symbols of the religion. In them are worldly and religious benefits for you, so say “in the name of Allah” when slaughtering them, after their feet have been lined up whilst standing and one of their feet has been tied so that they do not flee. Then when they fall on their sides after being slaughtered, eat of them, O those who are sacrificing, and give of them to the pauper who desists from begging and the pauper who comes forward to be granted a share of them. Just as I made them submissive to you so that you carry loads on them and ride them, I have also made them submissive to you so they are led to the place you slaughter them in, as a means of closeness to Allah, so that you are grateful to Allah for the blessing of making them submissive to you.
