Al-Baqarah · 2:155
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِنَ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَنْفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ
Tutawapa, tena tutawapa, mtihani wa kitu hafifu cha hali ya kuogopa, njaa, upungufu wa mali, iwe ni uzito kuyapata au yaondoke, upungufu wa watu: kwa kufa au kufa-shahidi katika njia ya Mwenyezi Mungu, na kwa upungufu wa matunda ya mitende na mizabibu na nafaka: kwa kupungua mazao yake au kuharibika kwake.Wape, ewe Nabii, habari njema, wale wenye subira juu ya haya na mfano wake, kwa yale yatakayowafurahisha na kuwapendeza ya mwisho mwema duniani na Akhera.

155. Allah will test people with different types of hardships: some with fear of those who are against them; hunger because of lack of food; lack of money because of losing it or difficulty gaining it; loss of lives due to death from diseases and tragedies that kill people, or being martyred for the sake of Allah; and a lack of resources from the earth. Give good news, O Prophet, to those who are patient in the face of these hardships, of what will make them happy in this world and in the Afterlife.
