وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هَٰؤُلَاءِ شُفَعَاؤُنَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَتُنَبِّئُونَ اللَّهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Na hawa wanaomshirikisha Mwenyezi Mungu na asiyekuwa Yeye wanaviabudu visivyowadhuru chochote wala kuwanufaisha ulimwenguni wala Akhera, na wanasema, «Sisi tunawaabudu wao ili watuombee mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu.» Waambie, ewe Mtume, «Je, mnampa habari Mwenyezi Mungu, Aliyetukuka, jambo Asilolijua, katika mbingu au katika ardhi, kuhusu mambo ya waombezi hawa?» Kwa hakika lau kulikuwa na waombezi katika hizo wa kuwaombea nyinyi mbele Yake, Angalikuwa na ujuzi zaidi kuhusu wao kuliko nyinyi.» Kwani Mwenyenyezi Mungu, Aliyetukuka, Ameepukana na wanachokifanya washirikina hawa cha kushirikisha kwao, katika ibada Yake, vitu visivyodhuru wala kunufaisha.

18. The idolaters worship what they claim to be gods beside Allah, which cannot benefit or harm them, while Allah can benefit and harm as He wills; and they say that the things they worship will plead with Allah on their behalf, so that they will not be punished for their sins. Ask them O Messenger, 'Would you inform Allah, the Knowing, that He has a partner, when He does not know of a partner for Himself in the heavens or the earth?!' Allah is divine and far above the falsehood and lies of the idolaters.
