Sura 10 · Juzuu 11

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ ۙ قَالَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا ائْتِ بِقُرْآنٍ غَيْرِ هَٰذَا أَوْ بَدِّلْهُ ۚ قُلْ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أُبَدِّلَهُ مِنْ تِلْقَاءِ نَفْسِي ۖ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلَّا مَا يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ ۖ إِنِّي أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Na wasomewapo washirikina aya za Mwenyezi Mungu zilizo wazi tulizokuteremshia wewe, ewe Mtume, husema wale ambao hawaogopi Hesabu wala hawatarajii malipo wala hawaamini Siku ya kufufuliwa na kuhuishwa, «Lete qur’ani isiyokuwa hii, au tugeuze hii Qur’ani: uifanye halali kuwa haramu na haramu kuwa halali, ahadi kuwa onyo na onyo kuwa ahadi, na uondoe yaliyomo ndani yake ya kukashifu waungu wetu na kuzifanya za kipumbavu akili zetu.» Waambie, ewe Mtume,»Hilo haliko kwangu. Kwani mimi nafuata, katika kila ninalowaamrisha na ninalowakataza, yale ambayo Mola wangu Ameniteremshia na kuniamrisha kwayo. Mimi naogopa kutoka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu, nikienda kinyume na amri Yake, adhabu ya siku iliyo kubwa , nayo ni Siku ya Kiyama.

15. If the clear ayahs of the Qur’ān are recited to them proving the Oneness of Allah, those who deny the resurrection and who do not expect a reward or fear any consequences tell Muhammad to bring a different Qur’ān other than this Qur’ān which attacks the worship of idols, or to change it, substituting some or all of it for what agrees with their desires. Allah told Muhammad to say to them that it is not up to him to change anything himself, and what is more, he would not be able to come with something else. Rather, it is Allah alone Who changes what He wills of it, and the Messenger only follows what Allah reveals to him, fearing that if he went against Allah, by doing as they asked him to, he would be punished for it on a mighty day, the Day of Judgement.
