An-Nisa · 4:64
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا لِيُطَاعَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ جَاءُوكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا اللَّهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُولُ لَوَجَدُوا اللَّهَ تَوَّابًا رَحِيمًا
Om Vi sänder ett sändebud är det för att han med Guds hjälp skall göra sig åtlydd. Men om de kommer till dig efter att ha gjort sig själva orätt [med sin synd] för att be om Guds förlåtelse, och om Sändebudet ber om förlåtelse för dem, skall de finna att Gud i Sin barmhärtighet tar emot den ångerfulles ånger.

64. Allah did not send any messenger except to be followed in what they instructed by Allah’s will and decree. If, when they wronged themselves by committing sins, they had come to you, O Messenger, confessing what they had done and regretting it, repenting from what they did, and if they had asked for forgiveness from Allah, and you had asked for forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Forgiving and Compassionate with them.
