Sura 35 · Juz 22

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللَّهُ النَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا مَا تَرَكَ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِهَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ وَلَٰكِنْ يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۖ فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ بَصِيرًا
Om Gud [med en gång] skulle straffa människorna så som de förtjänar, skulle Han inte lämna en enda levande varelse kvar på [jorden]; men Han ger dem uppskov till en [av Honom] fastställd tidpunkt. Och när denna frist har löpt ut [skall de få erfara att] Gud inte förlorar någon av Sina tjänare ur sikte.

45. If Allah were to rush to punish people for the wrong they have done and the sins they perpetrated, He would have destroyed all the people on earth at once, together with the animals and wealth they own. But, He, (may He be glorified), gives them respite until a fixed time, which is the day of resurrection. When the day of resurrection comes, Allah is fully aware of what His servants used to do, and nothing remains hidden from Him. He will then recompense them for their actions, whether good or bad.
