Al-Baqarah · 2:76
وَإِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ قَالُوا أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُمْ بِمَا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لِيُحَاجُّوكُمْ بِهِ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
E kur takonin ata që kishin besuar (muslimanët) thonin: “Ne kemi besuar! E kur veçoheshin ata mes veti thonin: “A po ju tregoni atyre (muslimanëve) për atë që All-llahu ua shpalli juve (në Tevrat rreth Muhammedit a. s. ) që ata para Zotit tuaj të kenë argumente kundër jush. A nuk jeni duke kuptuar.

76. An instance of their inconsistencies and deviousness occurred when some of them met some believers and acknowledged the truth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the correctness of his message, as the Torah witnessed to it. But when they were alone with one another they blamed each other because of these acknowledgments, saying that the Muslims might use them as proof that they recognised the truth of Muhammad’s prophethood.
