An-Nahl · 16:34
فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا وَحَاقَ بِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Închinătorii la idoli vor spune: “Dacă Dumnezeu ar fi vrut, noi nu ne-am fi închinat nimănui în afara Lui — noi şi taţii noştri. Noi nu am fi oprit nimic fără de El.” Şi cei dinaintea lor la fel au făcut. Oare asupra trimişilor nu este doar înştiinţarea cea desluşită?

34. So the retribution of the actions they used to do came down on them and they were surrounded by the punishment they used to mock at whenever they were reminded of it.
