At-Tawbah · 9:49
وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ ائْذَنْ لِي وَلَا تَفْتِنِّي ۚ أَلَا فِي الْفِتْنَةِ سَقَطُوا ۗ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ
E dentre eles, há quem diga: "Permite-me a isenção e não me põe na tentação." Ora, na tentação(1) já caíram. E por certo, a Geena estará abarcando os renegadores da Fé.

(1) Trata-se da provação a que, fatalmente, sucumbiria Al Jadd Ibn Qais, convidado pelo Profeta a combater os bizantinos na Síria, uma vez que, sendo contumaz apreciador do sexo feminino, muito provavelmente seria atraído pelas belas mulheres bizantinas, não só interrompendo, assim, o combate, senão abandonando-o, para ir ter com elas.

49. Among the hypocrites were those who used various excuses, asking the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to permit them to stay behind from fighting, for fear of being tested by the women of the Roman enemy and hence falling into sin. But they fell into a greater sin than the one they claimed they feared: the sin of hypocrisy, and staying behind. On the Day of Judgement, Hell will surround the disbelievers, none of them escaping it or getting away from it.
