Al-An'am · 6:65
قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ۗ انْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ
Dize: "Ele é O Poderoso para enviar-vos um castigo, proveniente de cima(1) de vós ou debaixo de vossos pés ou para confundir-vos em seitas e fazer que alguns de vós experimenteis a fúria dos outros." Olha como patenteamos os sinais, para entenderem.

(1) O castigo de cima: Tal como a chuva de pedras ígneas, que fez sucumbir o povo de Lot em Sodoma e Gomorra; o castigo de baixo: tal como as águas do Mar Vermelho, que afogaram o povo de Faraó.

65. Say to them, O Messenger: Allah is the One able to send upon you a punishment that will come to you from above, such as stones, thunder-bolts and floods, or that will come to you from below, such as earthquakes and sinking into the ground. He can also cause disunity between your hearts, making each person follow their desire and making you fight one another. Think, O Messenger, about how I explain to them the evidence in various ways, so that they realise that what you have brought to them is the truth and what they have is false.
