Al-Mu'minun · 23:100
لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّا ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا ۖ وَمِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
"Na esperança de eu fazer o bem, no que tange ao que negligenciei." Em absoluto, não o farei. Por certo, será uma palavra(1) vã, que estará dizendo. E, adiante deles, haverá uma barreira(2) até um dia, em que eles ressuscitarão.

(1) Palavra; tudo o que o descrente proferir, quando rogar a Deus que o faça retornar à terra, para corrigir o mal que praticou. (2) Barreira traduz barzakh. que, além do sentido próprio, significa a barreira entre a morte e a Ressurreição.

100. Perhaps I will do good actions when I return to it. Never. The matter is not as you requested. It is only a statement he is uttering. If he were to return to the worldly life, he would not fulfil what he promised. These people who have died will remain in a barrier between the world and the afterlife until the Day of Resurrection and rising. Thus, they will not return from it to the world, to make up for what they lost and to correct what they spoiled.
