Al-Mu'minun · 23:24
فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنْزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ
I starszyzna - ci z jego ludu, którzy nie uwierzyli - powiedziała: "To jest tylko człowiek jak wy; on chce się wywyższyć nad wami. A gdyby zechciał Bóg, to z pewnością zesłałby aniołów. My nie słyszeliśmy, żeby coś podobnego zdarzyło się u naszych dawnych przodków.

24. So the noblemen and leaders from his people who disbelieved in Allah said to their followers and the masses, “This man that claims to be a messenger is only a human like yourselves; he only desires leadership and rule over you. If Allah wished to send a messenger to you He would have done so by sending one from the angels, not from the humans. We have not heard anything like what he is claiming from our predecessors!”
