قَالُوا مَا أَخْلَفْنَا مَوْعِدَكَ بِمَلْكِنَا وَلَٰكِنَّا حُمِّلْنَا أَوْزَارًا مِنْ زِينَةِ الْقَوْمِ فَقَذَفْنَاهَا فَكَذَٰلِكَ أَلْقَى السَّامِرِيُّ
[Isaan] ni jedhan: “Waadaa siif seenne fedha keenyaan hin diigneGaruu nuti ba’aa (faaya) bareedumaa kan warra (Fir’awn) baachifamneeti, (ibidda keessatti) ishee darbineAkkuma nuti darbinetti, Saamiriyyichis darbe.”

Afaan keessanitti tafsiirni hin jiru. Kun Al-Mukhtasar Afaan Ingiliffaati.
87. Moses’ people said: “We did not break your promise, O Moses, by our own choice, but rather by compulsion. We carried large weights of the jewellery of Pharaoh’s people and we threw them into a ditch to get rid of them. But as we threw them into the ditch, Samiri threw into it some dust he had from the hoof of the horse of Gabriel (peace be upon him)”.
