Al-Qasas · 28:16
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
En hij zeide: O Heer! waarlijk, ik heb mijne eigene ziel mishandeld; vergeef mij dus. Zoo vergaf God hem: want hij is vergevensgezind en barmhartig.

16. Beseeching his Lord and acknowledging his action, Moses said, “O my Lord! I have wronged myself by killing this Copt, so forgive my sin.” So Allah forgave him; indeed He Forgiving to whoever repents from His servants and merciful towards them.
