An-Nahl · 16:55
لِيَكْفُرُوا بِمَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Om hunne ondankbaarheid te betoonen voor de gunsten welke wij hun hebben geschonken. Verheugt u in de genietingen van dit leven; maar hier namaals zult gij weten, dat gij de goddelijke wraak niet kunt ontkomen.

55. Their associating partners with Allah meant that they in fact reject Allah’s favours to them, including Allah saving them from their distress after they had called on Him alone. It was therefore said to them: Enjoy the luxuries that you have until Allah’s penalty comes to you sooner or later.
