Al-A'raf · 7:193
وَإِنْ تَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى الْهُدَىٰ لَا يَتَّبِعُوكُمْ ۚ سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ أَدَعَوْتُمُوهُمْ أَمْ أَنْتُمْ صَامِتُونَ
Dan jika kamu (hai kaum musyrik) menyeru benda-benda itu untuk memperoleh petunjuk (daripadanya), mereka tidak dapat menurut (menyampaikan hajat) kamu; sama sahaja bagi kamu, sama ada kamu menyerunya atau mendiamkan diri.

193. And If you call these idols which you take as gods to guidance, they will not respond to what you call them to, nor can they follow you. It is the same whether you call them, or keep silent, because they are just objects, and are not conscious: they do not hear, and they cannot speak.
