Surah 41 · Juz 24
Fussilat · 41:45
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ فَاخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ ۗ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَفِي شَكٍّ مِنْهُ مُرِيبٍ
Dan (janganlah engkau merasa kecewa wahai Muhammad tentang keingkaran kaummu, kerana) demi sesungguhnya! Kami telah memberi kepada Nabi Musa Kitab Taurat, lalu berlaku pertentangan mengenainya. Dan kalaulah tidak kerana telah terdahulu kalimah ketetapan dari Tuhanmu (untuk menangguhkan hukuman hingga ke suatu masa yang tertentu), tentulah dijatuhkan hukuman azab dengan serta merta kepada mereka. Dan sesungguhnya mereka (kaummu) masih menaruh syak yang meragukan tentang (kebenaran Al-Quran) itu.

45. Verily I gave Moses the Torah and it was disagreed upon. Some believed in it, while others disbelieved in it. Had there not been a promise from Me that there will be judgement passed between the servants on the Day of Judgement in matters they disputed over, judgement would already have been passed upon those who disputed in the Torah. I would have made the ones on the truth clear from those on falsehood and honoured those on the truth whilst disgracing those on falsehood. Indeed, the disbelievers are definitely in suspicious doubts with regards the Qur’ān.
