ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَاءُوهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا بِمَا كَذَّبُوا بِهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَطْبَعُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ الْمُعْتَدِينَ
Kemudian Kami utuskan sesudah Nabi Nuh, beberapa orang Rasul kepada kaum masing-masing; lalu Rasul-rasul itu datang kepada kaum mereka dengan membawa keterangan-keterangan yang nyata; dalam pada itu kaum mereka tetap juga tidak mahu beriman kepada apa yang mereka telah mendustakannya sebelum itu. Demikianlah, Kami meteraikan atas hati orang-orang yang melampaui batas.

74. Then, after a period of time, We sent, after Noah, messengers to their people. The messenger came to their communities with overwhelming miracles and pure laws. But they had no intention to believe on account of their previous insistence on rejection of the messengers. Allah therefore sealed their hearts. Just as We sealed the hearts of the followers of the messengers of the past We will seal the hearts of the disbelievers who overstep Allah’s limits by committing disbelief in every time and place.
