Al-Mujadila · 58:2
الَّذِينَ يُظَاهِرُونَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ مَا هُنَّ أُمَّهَاتِهِمْ ۖ إِنْ أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ إِلَّا اللَّائِي وَلَدْنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَقُولُونَ مُنْكَرًا مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَزُورًا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُورٌ
२. तुमच्यापैकी जे लोक आपल्या पत्नींशी जिहार करतात (म्हणजे त्यांना माता संबोधून बसतात) त्या वास्तविक त्यांच्या माता नाहीत, त्यांच्या माता तर त्याच आहेत, ज्यांच्या गर्भातून त्यांनी जन्म घेतला आहे, निःसंशय हे लोक एक अयोग्य आणि असत्य गोष्ट बोलतात. निःसंशय, अल्लाह मोठा क्षमाशील आणि माफ करणारा आहे.

2. Those who do Ẓihār to their wives, by saying to them: “You are for me like the back of my mother”, have lied in this statement of theirs. Their wives are not their mothers; their mothers are only those women who gave birth to them, and when they make such statements they are uttering a disgusting, false statement. But indeed, Allah is overlooking and forgiving: He has legislated an atonement for you to free you of the sin.
