Al-Qasas · 28:59
وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ يَبْعَثَ فِي أُمِّهَا رَسُولًا يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا ۚ وَمَا كُنَّا مُهْلِكِي الْقُرَىٰ إِلَّا وَأَهْلُهَا ظَالِمُونَ
५९. आणि तुमचा पालनकर्ता कधीही कोणा एका वस्तीलाही त्या वेळेपर्यंत नष्ट करीत नाही, जोपर्यंत त्यांच्या एखाद्या मोठ्या वस्तीत आपला एखादा पैगंबर पाठवित नाही, जो त्यांना आमच्या आयती वाचून ऐकविल आणि आम्ही वस्त्यांना अशा वेळी नष्ट करतो, जेव्हा तिथले रहिवाशी अत्याचारी व्हावेत.

59. O Messenger, your Lord did not destroy the cities until he had given opportunity to their inhabitants by sending Messengers to their main cities, just as He sent you to the Mother of Cities. And I was not one to destroy the people of the cities when they were firm on the truth. I only destroy them when they are unjust through disbelief and committing sins.
