قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّي وَرَزَقَنِي مِنْهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًا ۚ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُخَالِفَكُمْ إِلَىٰ مَا أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْهُ ۚ إِنْ أُرِيدُ إِلَّا الْإِصْلَاحَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ ۚ وَمَا تَوْفِيقِي إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ۚ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْهِ أُنِيبُ
Ya ce: "Ya mutãnena! Kun gani idan no kasance a kan hujja bayyananniya daga Ubangijina, kuma Ya azurta nĩ da arzikimai kyãwo daga gare Shi? Kuma bã ni nufin in sãɓa muku zuwa ga abin da nake hana ku daga gare shi. Bã ni nufin kõme fãce gyãrã, gwargwadon da na sãmi dãma. Kuma muwãfaƙãta ba ta zama ba fãce daga Allah. A gare shi na dõgara, kuma zuwa gare Shi na wakkala."

88. Shu’ayb said to his people: O my people, tell me what will be your position if I am on clear proof and insight from my Lord, and He has given me lawful provision from Him, as well as prophethood? I do not wish to prohibit you from something and go against you and do it myself. I only wish to set your matter right, to the best of my ability, by inviting you to declare the Oneness of your Lord and to obey Him. My success in achieving this is only with Allah, may He be glorified! I place my trust in Him alone and I turn to Him in all my affairs.
