وَمَا كَانَ النَّاسُ إِلَّا أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَاخْتَلَفُوا ۚ وَلَوْلَا كَلِمَةٌ سَبَقَتْ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِيمَا فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ
Kuma mutãne ba su kasance ba fãce al'umma guda, sa'an nan kuma suka sãɓã wa jũna, kuma ba dõmin wata kalma ba wadda ta gabãta daga Ubangijinka, dã an yi hukunci a tsakãninsu a kan abin da yake a cikinsa suke sãɓã wa jũna.

19. People were just one believing, unified nation, then they differed: some of them still had faith, while others disbelieved. If it had not been for the decree of Allah that He would not judge between them in what they differed about, then it would have been made clear which of them were guided and which of them were astray.
