فَلَمَّا أَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْطِشَ بِالَّذِي هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَهُمَا قَالَ يَا مُوسَىٰ أَتُرِيدُ أَنْ تَقْتُلَنِي كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا بِالْأَمْسِ ۖ إِنْ تُرِيدُ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ جَبَّارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُصْلِحِينَ
૧૯) પછી જ્યારે પોતાના અને તેના શત્રુને પકડવા લાગ્યા, તે ફરિયાદી કહેવા લાગ્યો કે મૂસા ! શું જેવી રીતે ગઇકાલે તે એક વ્યક્તિનું કતલ કર્યું છે, મને પણ મારી નાખવા ઇચ્છે છે ? તું તો શહેરમાં અત્યાચારી અને વિદ્રોહી બનવા માંગે છે. અને તારી એ ઇચ્છા જ નથી કે મેળાપ કરવાવાળાઓ માંથી બને.
