قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ شُرَكَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَتٍ مِنْهُ ۚ بَلْ إِنْ يَعِدُ الظَّالِمُونَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا
Sano: »Mitä ajattelette suojelijoistanne, joita Jumalan veroisina avuksenne huudatte? Näyttäkää, minkä osan maata he ovat luoneet, tai onko heillä osuus taivaassa, tahi olemmeko Me heille lähettänyt Pyhän Kirjoituksen, jonka selviä totuuksia he noudattaisivat.» Ei, väärintekijät eivät pidä lupauksiaan; niitä he toisilleen antavat vain pettääkseen.

40. Say - O Messenger, to these idolaters: Tell me about those partners of yours that you worship instead of Allah, what have they created on earth. Did they create its mountains? Did they create its rivers? Did they create its animals? Or do they have any share with Allah in the creation of the heavens? Or have I given them a book in which there is proof of the validity of their worshipping their idols? Nothing of that is true. In fact, those who wrong themselves by disbelief and sins promise one another nothing but delusion.
