وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ1
(1) By the night when it covers[1937]

وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ2
(2) And [by] the day when it appears

وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ3
(3) And [by] He who created the male and female,
92:4Juz 30 · p. 595
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ4
(4) Indeed, your efforts are diverse.
92:5Juz 30 · p. 595
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ5
(5) As for he who gives and fears Allāh
92:6Juz 30 · p. 595
وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ6
(6) And believes in the best [reward],
92:7Juz 30 · p. 595
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ7
(7) We will ease him toward ease.
92:8Juz 30 · p. 595
وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ8
(8) But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need
92:9Juz 30 · p. 595
وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ9
(9) And denies the best [reward],
92:10Juz 30 · p. 596
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ10
(10) We will ease him toward difficulty.
92:11Juz 30 · p. 596
وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰ11
(11) And what will his wealth avail him when he falls?[1938]

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ12
(12) Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance.
92:13Juz 30 · p. 596
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَىٰ13
(13) And indeed, to us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].
92:14Juz 30 · p. 596
فَأَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ14
(14) So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing.
92:15Juz 30 · p. 596
لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى15
(15) None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one
92:16Juz 30 · p. 596
الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ16
(16) Who had denied and turned away.
92:17Juz 30 · p. 596
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى17
(17) But the righteous one will avoid it
92:18Juz 30 · p. 596
الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّىٰ18
(18) [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself
92:19Juz 30 · p. 596
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰ19
(19) And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded[1939]

إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَىٰ20
(20) But only seeking the face [i.e., acceptance] of his Lord, Most High.
92:21Juz 30 · p. 596
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ21
(21) And he is going to be satisfied.
