Surah 47 · Juz 26

إِنْ يَسْأَلْكُمُوهَا فَيُحْفِكُمْ تَبْخَلُوا وَيُخْرِجْ أَضْغَانَكُمْ
(37) If He should ask you for them and press you, you would withhold, and He would expose your hatred [i.e., unwillingness].
Tafsir
37. If He had to ask you for all of your wealth and insist in this request from you, you will become miserly with it, and He will bring out the greed and miserliness in your hearts. Thus that fact He is not asking it from you is out of kindness.
