Al-Baqarah · 2:170
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۗ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَهْتَدُونَ
A když je nevěřícím řečeno: "Následujte to, co Bůh seslal!", odpovídají: "Nikoliv, my budeme následovat zvyklosti, jež u otců svých jsme nalezli." Avšak což když otcové jejich ničemu nerozuměli a nebyli správnou cestou vedeni?

170. If these disbelievers are told to follow the guidance and light which Allah revealed, they say, resisting stubbornly, that they will follow the beliefs and customs that their fathers followed. Do they follow their fathers even though they understood nothing of guidance or the light, and were not guided to the truth that Allah accepts?
